Osaka cuisine ranks top within Japan, and takoyaki is one of the many dishes contributing to the area’s cuisine reputation.
The dish can be made just by combining several simple ingredients, such as flour, dashi stock, egg, and octopus. Nothing beats munching on some warm and tasty takoyaki during the cold winter! Visit Osaka Castle: A classic sightseeing spot in Osaka that possesses ancient beauty, a long history, and beautiful surrounding landscapes, attracting tourists from not only within Japan but also from all over the world. This makes the Castle a destination that one cannot miss on their trip to Osaka.
The castle was relatively damaged due to the impacts of the weather. Thus the current castle has been renovated to look rather modern. However, it is still able to retain its original antiquity. Visitors coming in the late afternoon will be able to see the watchtower, shining brightly during sunset. This is when the entire castle will be lit up, adding a hint of antiquity and creating a mysterious and impressive scene.
Explore Minoo Park: When it comes to Osaka, one of the images that many would think of is the fall foliage. And the best place to watch the red leaves is inevitably Minoo Park.
The park is a valley located in the northern area of Osaka City. Here, you can still explore the ancient autumn beauty of the area with the river covered in maple leaves. Glimpses of traditional Japanese houses can be seen in the far, drawing a picturesque and tranquil picture. Visitors can also admire the 33-meter-high waterfall.
Travel back in time at Hozenji Temple: With over 3395 temples and shrines, you might be surprised to know that one of the region’s most famous temples is a small temple located on Namba street. The temple’s attractiveness lies in its ancient and bold Japanese appearance. This is also the perfect place for those that want to relax and chill.
Lanterns are hung around the pagoda between the wooden poles. Rather than being overwhelmed by the splendor and luxury beauty, visitors would be able to sense a very familiar and close feeling here.
You will find a “statue” covered in green moss at Hozenji. People say that by watering the statue and sincerely praying, your wish will come true.
Check-in at Universal Studio Japan: It would be a waste to skip Universal Studios Japan (USJ) when coming to Osaka. As the second largest theme park in Japan, USJ attracts a lot of both domestic and foreign tourists. Visitors would be mesmerized by the theme park’s extravagance.
USJ offers a plethora of interesting games that can be enjoyed by both adults and children. Here, you will have the chance to meet many famous cartoon characters in adventure games. It might take you up to three days to fully enjoy and explore all of the games at USJ.
Those coming to USJ during the festival season can also enjoy the festive atmosphere here, with the energetic sound of trumpets and drums, as well as eye-catching plays and dances.
