Okayama city provides ¥100,000 per household to support families in need

To support families in need due to the impact of the new coronavirus and soaring prices, Okayama City has decided to provide ¥100,000 per household for residents tax-exempt.

According to Okayama City, there are about 15,000 households in the city that are in need due to a decrease in income caused by the new Coronavirus and other factors. Furthermore, the city has decided to provide 100,000 yen per household to support for low-income households to cope with soaring prices.

Eligible beneficiaries are:

・Households newly exempted from residential tax this year

・Households whose household budget changes suddenly due to the impact of Corona.

Households that received benefits in the previous year are not eligible for either of these benefits.
