All five members of Arashi - the mega pop group formerly under Johnny & Associates, recently announced on the 10th that they have established a new company.
The group announced via an Instagram post on Wednesday that they have decided to set up a new company called STARTO ENTERTAINMENT.
The official statement, which also included the signature of all 5 Arashi members, explained how the group “want to be more independent than ever before, make more independent decisions than ever before, and act more independently than ever before.” “We want our fans, who have been supporting us every day, to feel closer to us. We want to be more assertive.” And “with these feelings in mind, the five of us have discussed and decided to establish the company.”
On the other hand, STARTO ENTERTAINMENT also stated how they cannot provide answers to questions such as the purpose for establishing the company, the content of its operation, the company name, and future activities of the 5 members.
Arashi has been on hiatus since 2021, with members Satoshi Ohno currently taking a break from activities and Kazunari Ninomiya expressing intentions to continue group activities despite being independent of Johnny & Associates.
