Yesterday, on the 9th, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department rearrested 29-year-old Yoshida Takuya, a teacher and coach of the boys’ soccer team at Shutoku Junior and Senior High School, on charges of sexually assaulting and indecent filming of a male student. The suspect remains to be silent in light of the current situation.
Investigations revealed that Yoshida’s smartphone contained more than 100 sexual photos and videos of over 15 male students. The school had also received several inquiries from students who claimed to have been his victims and is investigating the connection between these two events.
In early May of last year, Yoshida was suspected of abusing his status as a teacher to contact the student via social media and ask him to meet up in Tokyo. He then proceeded to grope and molest the boy and even filmed his actions to create child pornography. In November of last year, he contacted the same student again and demanded that the boy send sexual images of himself via social media.
