Sakura Tulip Festa in Chiba is famous for being the largest tulip celebration in all of the Kanto regions, attracting thousands of foreign and local visitors from all across Japan. Held in Sakura Furusato Square, the festival is home to over 80 different varieties of tulips, from plain, single-colored ones to multicolored, gradient ones.
The event’s name might sound confusing to some since it includes both types of flowers, Sakura and Tulips. However, Sakura here does refer to the flower cherry blossom but Sakura City where the festival is held.
The festival commences in late March, which is also when the tulips start to be in bloom. Coming to the festival, you will be welcomed by a sea of tulips in all sorts of colorful shades, such as red, pink, white, and yellow. The vibrant shades of tulips, accompanied by the clear blue sky and a huge Netherlands windmill backdrop make this the perfect photo spot.
