Exploring the long-awaited Ghibli Park in Nagoya, Japan
A destination that all Ghibli fans cannot miss! The long-awaited Ghibli Park was finally open to visitors on the 1st of November.
EXPLORING THE LONG-AWAITED GHIBLI PARK IN AICHI PREFECTURE, JAPAN
The park comprises 5 main areas recreating the worlds in Ghibli studio’s masterpieces, which you can experience as if you were the protagonist in the movie! These include: “Hill of Youth,” “Ghibli’s Great Warehouse,” and “Dondoko Forest” which was opened in November of 2022, and “Witch’s Valley” and “Mononoke Village” which will open in 2023.
Let’s take a look at the areas that you can visit now!
1️⃣ Hill of Youth: is the world of Earth Shop in “Whisper of the Heart” and The Cat’s Office in “The Cat’s Return.” The attention to detail in the area will surely blow your mind!
2️⃣ Ghibli's Great Warehouse: This area has an exhibition room displaying a variety of Ghibli’s works, a playground, a shop, and a cafe; you can take pictures to match the protagonists in Ghibli’s movies!
3️⃣ Dondoko Forest: is centered around Satsuki and Mei’s house, which was constructed in 2005, that appeared in My Neighbor Totoro. There is also a massive Totoro playground named “Dondokodo” and a classic car of the Showa period. The area is surrounded by greenery, so you can relax and leisurely stroll around while enjoying the park.

You need to reserve tickets for the areas that you want to visit.
1️⃣ Ghibli's Great Warehouse
👉 Weekdays: 2.000 yen for adults, 1.000 yen for children (from 4 years old to elementary)
👉 Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays: 2.500 for adults, 1.250 for children (from 4 years old to elementary)
2️⃣ Hill of Youth
👉 Adults: 1.000 yen
👉 Children (from 4 years old to elementary): 500 yen
3️⃣ Dondoko Forest
👉 Adults: 1.000 yen
👉 Children (from 4 years old to elementary): 500 yen

👉 Weekdays: 10:00 - 17: 00 (9:00 - 17:00 on weekdays during long school holidays)
👉 Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays: 9:00 - 17:00
📮【Routes】
👉 Meitetsu Chubu Centrair International Airport Station → Tobu Kyuryo Line (Linimo). Get off at "Aichi Expo Memorial Park" station (approx. 1 hour 20 minutes)
