Two Men killed in Helicopter Crash in Fukuoka, Japan

A helicopter crashed in the farmland of Yanagawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture, resulting in the death of two people. Information revealed that both individuals who were aboard the aircraft were confirmed dead at the site. The cause of death was determined to have been due to injuries to the head and chest organs resulting from the crash.

In light of the incident, the Fukuoka Prefectural Police Department investigated the aircraft’s operational company - SGC Saga Aviation, based in Saga City, on suspicion of professional negligence resulting in death.

The Japan Transport Safety Board revealed that based on the condition of the aircraft after the crash, it is presumed that the tail section had detached mid-air during flight. The police are inspecting related documents and carrying out further investigations to determine whether there was any negligence on the company’s side.

With regard to the investigation, the company commented that they would fully cooperate with the police to clarify the cause of the accident. The company also revealed that the crashed aircraft had undergone an annual inspection required by law to renew its trustworthiness on the 18th of this month, in which no abnormalities were found.
