Three people died in Hanno city, Saitama, Japan and the man arrested "left the scene without a care in the world after the crime"

A 40-year-old man living near a house in Hanno City, Saitama Prefecture, was arrested after three people, a couple in their 60s and their daughter, were found beaten to death in a house in Hanno City, Saitama Prefecture, on 25 December.

In this incident, a couple in their 60s and their daughter in her 30s were found dead in the garden of a house in Misugidai, Hanno City, after 7 am on 25 December, after being hit in the upper body, including the head and neck, with what appeared to be a blunt object.

On the night of 25 December, police arrested Jun Saito (40), an unemployed man living in a house a few dozen meters from the scene, on suspicion of attempted murder of the men, and on the morning of 26 December, he was transferred to Sayama Police Station, where he is being held.

He has refused to give a statement, saying "I don't want to say anything" to investigations.

Later interviews with witnesses revealed that Saito had left the scene on foot without haste after the crime.

According to investigators, the suspect was seen leaving in a southerly direction after the crime and is believed to have returned home shortly afterward.

The house where the incident occurred has a security camera, and the police are examining the footage and investigating the details of Saito's crime and steps.
